The Little Prince
A family-focused opera by Rachel Portman and Nicholas Wright, The Little Prince had its premiere at Houston Grand Opera in 2003. Shortly after, a film version was created by the BBC, which we are excited to present as the second film in the festival. The opera is based on a book by Anoine de Saint-Exupéry and about an encounter between a pilot and the Little Prince, both stranded in the Sahara desert.
Running Time: 2 hours (including one intermission)
The Opera & Gelato Film Festival is sponsored, in part, by Wells Fargo
