Step into Arizona Opera's intimate Wittcoff Black Box for a day of live music, from elegant classical arrangements to community circle singing. Every performances is free to attend - just bring your curiosity.

 

Event Timeline:

  • 10 AM - 12 PM: Sparkle and Dazzle - a Piano and Strings Ensemble
    • A classical ensemble blending expressive piano and string arrangements. Enjoy a journey through timeless compositions and reimagined favorites in a beautiful, intimate setting.
       
  • 12:15 - 1 PM: Opera for Lunch
    • Stick around for a $20 boxed lunch from Sacks (RSVP required at least 48 hours in advance) featuring a full sandwich, chips, pasta salad, cookie, and water while world-class music fills the room. You are also welcome to bring your own packed meal.
       
  • 1 - 2 PM: Circle Singing with Juli Burdette
    • Close out the afternoon with a special Circle Singing workshop led by local artist Juli Burdette. Audience participation is encouraged and completely optional.

What is Make Music Phoenix?

Make Music Phoenix is an annual, city-wide, all-day celebration of music and community transforming Phoenix into one big stage on Sunday, June 21. Last year, Make Music Phoenix served 5,700+ community members across 13 ZIP codes, in collaboration with 18 museums, libraries, and local businesses, alongside 115+ passionate artists and volunteers.
