Opera Family Day in Phoenix

Join Arizona Opera for holiday and family fun in Phoenix. This is a great way to explore opera and make family memories that will last a lifetime. This event features a live performance of the classic opera Hansel and Gretel (adapted for children), gingerbread house construction, games, and more.

 

PARKING

Limited parking is available at the Arizona Opera Center, and additional parking is available on 1st Ave (behind the Opera Center), at the Flinn Foundation (directly north of the Opera Center), or across the street at the Phoenix Art Museum.

SEATING

Seating for the performance is general admission. Floor seating at the front will be available for all children to insure the best view of the performance. Doors open to the Arizona Opera Black Box Theater at 10:40am.

*GINGERBREAD COOKIE COMPETITION: Bring your own gingerbread house creation to Arizona Opera! Winners receive great prizes including memberships to family friendly arts organizations!

*FIRST ANNUAL TOY DRIVE: Enjoy opera by giving back to the community! Bring a toy to the opera and be entered to win tickets to our upcoming production of The Barber of Seville. This toy drive is being run in partnership with St. Vincent de Paul-Phoenix.
