Arizona Opera, Childsplay to become resident companies at Herberger Theater Center
AZ Central talks about Arizona Opera's new and daring programming model that divides the season into 2 parts: Arizona Opera Red series in fall with modern works in a smaller theaters (Herberger Theater Center in Phoenix, The Temple of Music and Art in Tucson), and Arizona Opera Main Stage series in winter and spring produced in Symphony Hall in Phoenix and Tucson Music Hall in Tucson.
By going into these more intimate venues, we’re able to present gutsy, theatrical, unexpected works, which is where a lot of the creativity in opera is happening today.
