Arizona Opera $85k close to Million Dollar May goal

The company needs to raise $500,000 all told to cash in on a $500,000 pledge from an anonymous donor. The gift came with strings attached: If the company doesn't come to the table with the full $500,000, they won't get the gift.

If the campaign succeeds, it will erase Arizona Opera’s remaining $750,000 in longterm debt and leave the company with money in the bank, Executive Director Ryan Taylor said when the campaign launched.
