Magical Realism: A Conversation With Alberto Rios

Tuesday, November 10, 2015 - 12:00am (Phoenix)

Join us for a lecture on magical realism by Arizona’s first poet laureate, Alberto “Tito” Ríos. Professor Ríos has spent years studying the works of Gabriel García Márquez, and throughout this hour-long presentation, audiences will explore the impact that magical realism has had on both Latin American art and the literature of the Southwest. This lecture will also discuss and use examples from Love in the Time of Cholera.

This event is a joint event between the Latin American Cultural Festival and Arizona Opera Book Club. If you are a member of the Arizona Opera Book Club, you are already registered for this event.

If you are not a part of the Book Club, but would like to attend, please register using the link below.
