Gala Concert and Family Festival
INTERNATIONALLY ACCLAIMED PIANIST AND WORLD-RENOWNED SOPRANO
Italian concert pianist Alessio Averone and soprano Angela Fout will perform an evening of beautiful music at the Arizona Opera Center to benefit local education. Concertizing widely in Europe and making his US debut with the San Diego Symphony in 2001, Mr. Averone was recognized in his youth as a prodigy, mastering works of Mozart and Chopin at age 10 and having made his international concert debut at age 15. He will be performing a full program with selections by Mozart, Chopin, Liszt, and Gershwin. Ms. Fout will end the evening with a selection of arias from Italian grand opera and has been described by Post and Courier as “Blonde and vivacious, with a soaring spinto voice that takes a high C easily, trills beautifully, and handles coloratura like a dream.” She will take the stage at Phoenix Symphony Hall as the leading role in Arizona Opera’s 2015/16 season production of Arizona Lady.
The evening will include a fundraising silent auction, free hors d’oeuvres and cash bar reception prior to the performance. An Arizona Opera performance troupe will kick-off the night at 7:00PM with a fun and free performing experience that will delight all students ages 5-105.

FREE Opening Reception Silent Auction and teaching opera troupe program begins at 6:45 PM
Ticketed Concert begins at 8:00 PM, with the silent auction continuing through intermission.
